The Harghita Community Development Association (Visit Harghita) has launched its latest survey aimed at exploring what authentic Harghita flavors mean to local residents and visitors alike. The questions focus on the role of flavors, ingredients, and traditional dishes in the region’s culture and identity, as well as on how healthy traditional foods are and how important the use of local products is in their preparation.

Completing the questionnaire is a simple and quick way for anyone to contribute to the preparations related to the 2027 European Region of Gastronomy title. Harghita County has already been awarded this title by the international institute IGCAT, making the presentation and strengthening of local gastronomic values essential for further reinforcing the county’s place on Europe’s gastronomic map.

The responses received will serve as the basis for professional workshops in which local chefs and gastronomic experts will jointly determine the county’s 12 flagship dishes.

The questionnaire can be completed until January 8, 2026, and we encourage everyone interested to contribute to the creation of the flavor map of Harghita County.

The collected results will be shared on the social media platforms of Visit Harghita and ADI Harghita.
